REGISTRATION, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
We shouldn’t have to say this, but please don’t register for a class you aren’t sure you will attend. QSI has to put up money to rent space, purchase supplies, and pay staff for every class we run. Cancelled slots prevent students who CAN make it to the class from registering.
Payment must be made in full within three days of registering. Unpaid registrations over three days old may be cancelled if there is demand for the slot.
QSI has a strict no refunds policy. Refunds are only given under extraordinary circumstances.
If you cannot make it to a class you are registered for, we will offer you credit for a class of equal or lesser value. This credit expires after one calendar year.
In the event a class is cancelled by QSI, you will receive a full refund.
If you cannot make it to the class you are registered for, you can transfer at no additional cost to a class of equal or lesser value with 14 days notice. Transfers with less than 14 days notice are subject to a $20 transfer fee.
There is no fee if you wish to give your slot to someone else. Contact us and we can make the change.
PAYMENT BY CHECK
QSI is happy to accept payments by check, subject to the following conditions:
If you pay by check for a class, your registration is secured; however, if the check fails to clear registration will be cancelled and you must re-register with another form of payment.
In the event a check written for Permit-to-Carry certification fails to clear, the Sheriff of your resident county will be notified that your certification is no longer valid. Certification can be restored with a cash payment for the cost of the class, plus a $200 fee.
If your check has not yet been cashed and you request a refund, we will happily void and destroy your check. We will not return paper checks.
MULTI-CLASS DISCOUNT PACKAGES
Multi-class discount packages, such as 5-packs and 3-packs, must be used within 12 months of purchase. Mutli-class discounts are for one student only and are not transferable. No refunds will be made for unused slots in discount packages or cancelled registrations made under a discount package. Some classes may not be eligible for discounts.
PREREQUISITES FOR ADVANCED CLASSES
Advanced class prerequisites will not be waived. Students registering for Advanced classes are assumed to have a strong grasp of basic concepts. All Advanced classes begin with a review of basic concepts. Students who cannot demonstrate adequate proficiency will not be allowed to continue the course. In these cases, refunds will not be given, but the student may receive credit that can be applied to a prerequisite course. If a student wishes to offer other prior training as a prerequisite, they must also provide contact information for the program instructor to vouch for them. QSI has the final word on what classes we accept as prerequisites.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
All participants in QSI activities must sign a waiver to participate.
Students are expected to arrive on time with the necessary equipment and be ready to train. If you do not have required equipment, please notify us in advance so we can help you get what you need.
QSI classes are typically not intensely physical; however we reserve the right to refuse training for students whose medical issues could present an unacceptable risk to themselves or others. We will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations for students with temporary or permanent disabilities. It is the students’ responsibility to notify us if accommodations are needed.
Students who display symptoms of a contagious illness may be denied entrance to a class, with credit to take the class at another date. Please stay home if you are sick.
We reserve the right to refuse training to anyone. Students who demonstrate irresponsible or careless gun handling, or are otherwise disruptive may be removed from the class without a refund.
Persons prohibited from possessing a firearm by local, state, or federal laws may not attend QSI classes.
Firearms which are possessed, manufactured or modified in violation of local, state, and Federal laws may not be used in QSI classes. If we have reason to believe your firearm is illegal, it cannot remain on our range.
QSI classes are a “politics-free” zone. We strongly discourage any discussion of divisive political issues during class time. If you want to discuss gun rights or other politics, we suggest joining the Minnesota Gun Owner’s Caucus.
QSI Students come from all walks of life and we expect all students treat each other with dignity and respect. Harassment, bullying and similar behavior will not be tolerated.
Self-defense is a serious matter. Students who lack the emotional maturity to take these matters seriously; advocate, condone or admit to illegal behavior; express or demonstrate violent and/or hateful ideologies will be dismissed for our programs without a refund.
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
QSI considers all student information to be private data and will not release any student information without the expressed consent of the student. QSI reserves the right to use photos, videos, and testimonial comments from students with their permission. Students are expected to respect the privacy of other students.
Students and persons who make inquiries to QSI may be added to our email list. You may unsubscribe from our list at any time. We will never share our email list with anyone, ever.
