QSI Cold Weather Handgun

If you live in Minnesota, you know that Winter and cold weather are a fact of life. Even if you’re not in Minnesota, inclement weather is still something you have to deal with.
We also know the unfortunate truth that criminals don’t care about the weather. You may find yourself needing to use your handgun for self-defense anytime!
This course will familiarize participants with using their firearm in cold weather. You will learn about carrying a gun under cold-weather clothing, drawing from heavy clothing, the effects of cold weather on handgun performance, and more!
Participants need some handgun experience. QSI Defensive Handgun or equivalent is a required prerequisite.
You will need:
- Handgun – semiauto or revolver.
- Holster – pocket, OWB, IWB, AIWB, are recommended. If you have a different holster than these, please let us know.
- At least 2 spare magazines or speedloaders
- Ammunition – 250 rounds
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection – electronic hearing protection is strongly recommended.
The range is outdoors, so be prepared and dress for cold and snow.
We strongly recommend you check and see if you can operate your pistol while wearing the gloves you plan to bring!
